For all you guy who love Whisper.
Update: The reader has contacted me, and the book will be making its way to its new home. Hurray!
We had a reader purchase a softcover set from us at SPX, and I needed to send her book one because we were sold out. However, her address got sucked into a portal, devoured by Nose misplaced. If you see this, lost reader who needs her book one, please email me at namesakemeg at gmail dot com! Your book is very sad and wants to find its way home to you.
Hey folks, Meg here! Because folks have been wondering how the timelines have been working out for chapter 21, here's a screencap from my timeline documenting program. I hope this clears up some confusion.
Finished my lineart vintage style shirt design - Little Queen, a tribute to John Bauer.
Nope is the Story of Mika Otohime, a colorful-haired teenager who lives in a world where everyone has an assigned role, as indicated by the symbol visible on their wrist.
Some are NPC’s, some are best friends… some are villains. And some, like Mika, are leading characters. At 16, Mika approaches the ages where most people have integrated their role. But she is still fighting it. When being the hero or close to the hero is what everyone wants, how will this world react to Mika’s refusal to play her role?
And will the mysterious transfer student change everything for her?
Nope will be an 100-page graphic novel, released online and then collected.
I don’t currently have a release date, but I can proudly say the scenario is almost done.
I have allied with Muun, co-writer of Sfeer Theory on the story. I hope everyone will adore our comic! It’s a very passionate love letter to the world of books, comics and animation.
Look forward to it!

Hello gang! Isa here! I wanted to share with you a few things happening on my side.
As many of you know, I do a lot of the Administrative work for the collective studio and publisher "Hiveworks". Sadly, the sheer amount of work, paired with life events, has made it difficult to keep up with my main interest, which is drawing this comic. Megan and I have hired a flatter (the amazing Meg of Daughter of the Lilies), who, on top of being super excited for massive spoilers, is really helping out. Now that someone flats my page, I save about 6 hours per week, which means I can ink more.
What do I plan to with this minimal but highly appreciated additional free time? Glad you ask, gentlereader! Here is my current to-do list :
1) Finish Patreon stuff and catch up on it.
2) Prepare Namesake book 3 for it's Kickstarter!
3) Make illustrations for the Namesake artbook, once of the rewards of said Kickstarter. Also work on additional rewards.
4) Work on some shorts. I have three shorts I want to do for namesake. Titles and descriptions below. Said shorts would be shared with Patreons as they are made, 10$ Patrons get access to sketch and inks. 5$ Patrons get access to finished pages later on. Non-Patreon folks will be able to buy the finished comics as ebooks.
5) Start working on "Nope" a graphic novel i've been planning.
What about the stories?
So far, Megan and I have 3 Namesake shorts kinda sketched out in our heads.
Girl's Night - Takes place in the 6 month period where the Crewe Crew is training. Noticing that Emma is growing frustrated with her training, Wendy suggests a "Girl's night" (+ Warrick, since he's more or less stuck around Emma) to blow off steam at the Cheshire Grin. This leads to characters noticing cultural differences between Earthlings and Ozites, some broken tables, and good times.
Reasonable Doubt - Takes place in the 6 month period where the Crewe Crew is training. As he starts work at Calliope, Ben is a bit startled by some of their practices. Selva and the boys find a strange hut abandoned in storage and decide to fix it up. Fred and Elaine take an important decision.
Adora's story - This is a bit, at my shame, a story I never got completed, about Adora's past in Oz, and the events the lead to the Twin's birth.
Enjoy!
New Awesome 11x17 prints are available in the Hiveworks Store! Get them while they are (figuratively) hot!

The colorful result of Sunday’s stream! I’ve been wanting to do a Sun-Moon-Stars themed image for a while.
Warrick got associated to the stars, along with vines (symbol of evolution) and a poppy (symbol of sleep, dreams, memories and resurrection - as well as Ozma). Emma is associated with the moon, hibiscus leaves (delicate beauty, royalty, immortal love) and a moonflower (dream of love) and baby’s breath (everlasting love). Elaine is the sun, with ivy leaves (friendship, fidelity, and affection) a rose (romantic love, selflessness) and baby’s breath (everlasting love).

Thank you to everyone who's alerted us to broken pages recently. We're not quite sure what's causing our older pages to break all of a sudden. We're happy to blame WordPress, which we're sure is 99.999999% of the issue.
However, we will be moving the comic off WordPress in the near future, and that should take care of things (it's also why book 5 hasn't been added to the archives yet. Waiting for the move.)
If you see any more broken pages, please let us know. Thanks!
